Feeding Guide
How Much Cold-Pressed Dog Food Should I Feed?
Pets True House cold-pressed dog food is gently pressed rather than extruded, creating a denser dry food that is easy to portion for everyday feeding. Because cold-pressed dog food is compact and nutrient-rich, many dogs need a smaller serving by volume than they would with some traditional dry dog foods.
Use the feeding chart below as a starting point for adult dogs, mature dogs, hard-working dogs and puppies from four weeks. If you are new to this feeding format, our guide explaining what cold-pressed dog food is covers how it is made, how it differs from kibble and what to consider before choosing a recipe.
If you are unsure about your dog's diet, body condition or ideal weight, check with your vet. Fresh water should always be available.

For best results, weigh your dog's food rather than estimating it by scoop size, then review their body condition regularly. Always provide access to fresh water when feeding dry dog food.
Adjusting Portions
The table provides a general starting point. You may need to adjust portions based on your dog's individual circumstances. Dogs that are highly active, growing or underweight may need more. Dogs that are less active, prone to weight gain or neutered may need less.
Monitor your dog's body condition regularly. You should be able to feel your dog's ribs without excess fat covering them, but the ribs should not be visibly protruding. If you are uncertain about your dog's condition, consult your veterinary surgeon.
When switching to cold-pressed food from another diet, start with smaller amounts mixed into your dog's current food. Over approximately 7–10 days, gradually increase the proportion of cold-pressed food while reducing the previous food.
You can also compare freeze-dried, cold-pressed and air-dried dog food to understand how the different formats vary in texture, storage and everyday feeding.
