Puppy Feeding Guide: Freeze-Dried Raw Chicken Dog Food
Our Chicken Puppy Food is a complete freeze-dried raw recipe made for growing puppies. Use the chart below for its published 2–4 month and 4–9 month age bands. The figures show the total amount of dry food for the day, before any water is added.

Puppy feeding chart
| Puppy's weight | 2–4 months, grams per day | 4–9 months, grams per day |
|---|---|---|
| 1–5 kg | 30–112 g | 25–94 g |
| 6–15 kg | 126–243 g | 105–203 g |
| 16–25 kg | 255–368 g | 213–306 g |
| 26–35 kg | 378–470 g | 315–391 g |
| 36–45 kg | 480–570 g | 400–475 g |
These amounts are starting points. Growth, activity, body condition and individual needs can affect how much your puppy requires. If the weight or age headings are unclear for your puppy, ask us for help before choosing a quantity. Do not estimate an exact portion by stretching the chart beyond its listed bands.
Using the age bands
Choose the relevant published age column, then check the weight band. The amount shown is a daily total, not the amount to put into every bowl. If you are unsure which column to use at the boundary between age bands, contact us rather than making a large change based on the table alone.
Keep a note of the amount offered and how your puppy is getting on with it. A feeding guide is useful, but it cannot replace advice for a puppy with individual dietary or health needs. Your vet can help assess growth and body condition if you are concerned.
This chart is for Chicken Puppy Food. The adult Chicken recipe has its own composition and feeding guidance, so the two products should not be treated as interchangeable simply because both contain chicken.
Measure first, then divide between meals
Weigh the day's dry food on kitchen scales and divide it between your puppy's meals. The number of meals should suit your puppy's age and the advice you have received; the chart does not set a meal schedule.
For example, if a puppy's agreed daily amount is 90 g and that puppy is fed three meals, each meal would contain 30 g. This is an arithmetic example only, not a portion or meal-frequency recommendation for every puppy.
Measure before adding water. Water changes the weight and texture in the bowl, but does not add more of the original food. Using the dry amount keeps your measurement consistent from one meal to the next.
Serve dry or soften with warm water
The pieces can be served dry or rehydrated with warm water for a softer texture. Always provide fresh drinking water. Follow the pack instructions and see our serving and storage guide for practical handling advice.
Store the puppy food in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Reseal the pouch after use and use it within four weeks of opening. Keep that instruction with the correct product: topper packs have a different opened-storage period.
Introduce the recipe gradually
If you are changing from another food, allow time for a gradual introduction. Keep track of both foods so the new recipe does not simply become an extra full meal on top of the previous ration.
Our switching guide explains the process. If your puppy is unwell or has been prescribed a diet, speak to your vet before changing it.
Choose Chicken Puppy Food
Made with 80% chicken, sweet potato, carrot, pumpkin, apple, pear, vitamins and minerals, this complete recipe offers a cupboard-friendly way to serve puppy meals without defrosting.
Choose one 150 g pack or multipacks of five or ten 150 g packs. The total weights are 150 g, 750 g and 1.5 kg; the larger options are individual pouches rather than one large bag.

Questions about this guide
Are the figures for each meal?
No. They are daily totals. Divide the appropriate daily amount between meals rather than repeating it at every feeding.

The food may be served dry or softened with warm water. Fresh drinking water should always be available.
Can I use this chart for adult chicken food?
No. It applies to the puppy recipe. Check the product name and its own feeding instructions whenever you choose food.
